The Balkan Rookie Fest is part of the prestigious World Rookie Tour – a global series dedicated to developing the next generation of snowboard athletes. Throughout the tour, the best young riders from various countries compete in qualification events to earn their place in the Grand Finals, where the future stars of the international scene are determined.

The selection of Malyovitsa as host for 2026 is a recognition of both the recent investments in winter infrastructure and the natural potential of the area. The mountain character of the resort, its climatic conditions, and varied terrain make it an ideal location for modern disciplines such as Slopestyle and Rail Jam.
