Salsa De Fuego Heats Up Malyovitsa This September

Salsa De Fuego at Malyovitsa

The only “recommended fire” in Malyovitsa is the one the dancers of Salsa De Fuego will ignite in the hearts of the resort’s guests on Saturday, 13 September. They will perform, provoke, make you smile, and stir emotions.

Salsa De Fuego is one of the oldest and most modern dance schools—and if you’ve ever seen Mitko, you’ll understand that the name is no coincidence.

Dimitar Lazarov founded the De Fuego dance school 20 years ago. Today it teaches Cuban salsa, LA salsa, New York salsa, bachata sensual, Dominican bachata, kizomba, tango, and cha-cha-cha. Dimitar has won numerous national and international awards in his field. He is a fiery dancer, DJ, frontman, lead vocalist, guitarist, and founder of the Latin band De Fuego Orchestra. He has more than 50 original songs and music videos, as well as two albums of original music.

“This will be our first visit to the Malyovitsa Resort Complex, invited by the resort’s management. The nature there is incredible, the air is crystal clear, and the silence is awe-inspiring. It will be an exciting experience—an unforgettable fiery fiesta beneath the centuries-old pines of the Rila Mountains,” he says.

Malyovitsa Resort Complex is a preferred place to relax, especially for families with children. There are no shopping streets, nightclubs, and many of the temptations and noise of the city. It’s a place for true rest and recharging. And still—there is a modern spa center in both hotels nestled side by side, an outdoor pool and, soon, an indoor pool at the Alpinist hotel, a children’s center, a park with fun attractions in the warmer months, and ski slopes that start right from the hotel entrances—everything is designed to make time fly by.

From the beginning of September, an additional complimentary program is also planned for guests. On 13 September—Latin fiesta; on 20 September—Bulgarian folk dances; and in the last week of the month, along with a creative workshop (painting on porcelain and ceramics), there will also be an event from the sports calendar. On 27 September, a sport orienteering competition for the “Malyovitsa Cup” will take place. The organizers are the NSA–Siven Orienteering Club and the Bulgarian Orienteering Federation, with the support of Samokov Municipality. An interesting detail is that after the 2014 European Youth Championships, this will be the first sport orienteering competition to be held here again.

“We love traditions and strive to restore and preserve them—and even to create new ones. For us, it’s an honor that an orienteering competition will once again be held in Malyovitsa. We hope that, alongside the sports program we cherish, we will also develop an excellent cultural calendar. Despite the warm September, with the dancers of Salsa De Fuego we are giving a fiery start to the autumn season. We have also prepared very attractive promotional prices for the autumn,” the resort’s team said.

Malyovitsa is waiting for you.
