Malyovitsa Tourist Festival with Kerana and the Cosmonauts and a performance about Malyo Voyvoda by Shevitsa Ensemble

From July 10 to 12, Malyovitsa will bring together nature, hiking, and adventure lovers with a rich program of hikes, training sessions, concerts, children’s camps, raffles, and dozens of activities for the whole family.

From July 10 to 12, Malyovitsa will once again become a must-visit destination for people who love the mountains, an active lifestyle, and outdoor adventures. For the third year in a row, the National Tourist Festival will bring together tourist clubs, families, friends, and mountain enthusiasts from across the country for three days filled with emotions, new knowledge, music, and unforgettable experiences.

Tickets for the event are already available at btsfest.bg, and the proceeds will be used for the “Planinski Izvori” mountain hut, which is currently in a very poor condition. At this stage, the goal is to renovate it to a level that would allow it to be used at least as a shelter.

Among the highlights of this year’s program are Kerana and the Cosmonauts and a special themed performance by Shevitsa Folk Ensemble, created especially for the festival. Through music, dance, and stage art, the performance will tell the story of the legendary Malyo Voyvoda — one of the most emblematic figures associated with the Malyovitsa region.

Traditionally, the National Tourist Festival will offer a rich program of hiking, educational, and entertainment activities for all ages. Visitors will be able to join guided hikes, first aid and orienteering training sessions, practical workshops, lectures, and discussions dedicated to mountain safety and hiking culture.

Special attention is also given to the youngest visitors through various children’s camps, educational games, and outdoor activities. Every parent can already register their child for the camp programs, with participation included in the ticket price and no additional fee required. The camp takes place throughout the entire festival period, with children accommodated in a dedicated camp area, sleeping in tents and taking part in a full-day program of games, training sessions, hikes, and various outdoor activities under the care of experienced instructors.

This allows parents to enjoy the concerts, lectures, hikes, and other festival activities with peace of mind, while their children immerse themselves in the world of nature, adventure, and new friendships. And the most valuable souvenir they will take home will be the memories, emotions, and stories from a true summer adventure in the mountains.

The festival area will also bring together exhibitors, craftspeople, tourist organizations, and outdoor equipment manufacturers from across the country.

The evening program will feature concerts, live music, an open stage for participants, raffles with prizes, meetings with interesting personalities, and the traditional evenings around the campfire, which every year become some of the most memorable moments of the festival.

In addition to the rich program, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy one of the most beautiful parts of the Rila Mountains and the priceless view towards Malyovitsa Peak. Everyone who purchases a ticket receives access to the festival area, a spot in the modern camping zone equipped with showers, lighting, and electricity, as well as meals during the event.

The National Tourist Festival is organized by the Bulgarian Tourist Union with the support of Samokov Municipality, Malyovitsa Resort, and the Rila National Park Directorate. In recent years, the event has established itself as one of the largest tourist events in Bulgaria, bringing together people of all ages around their love of nature, the mountains, and an active lifestyle.
